I'm definitely going to improve more of the phonemes to sound like the original, we're not quite there with the British 5/9 now getting impacted by the Americanized version, but we will get there. I do think this last version made things better, not worse there. But yeah, UK and US shouldn't conflict on linguistic rules like that for sure.

A weather report done in Trump speak. he even uses metric for a bit: Look, we have the best weather in Palm Beach, believe me. Everyone says it. It’s a beautiful night, absolutely spectacular. We have a temperature of 15°C, which is perfect, frankly, it’s much better than what they have in those other places—those cold, shivering places.

The sky is clear with periodic clouds, very high-end clouds, the best you’ve ever seen. We have a wind coming from the north at 11 mph—it’s a gentle wind, a very smart wind. The humidity is at 72%, very nice. 500 times better than other places. and the chance of rain? 0%. No rain, zero, that's 300% better. because we like to win, and we’re winning with this weather.

For the rest of Monday, January 19, 2026, it’s a total success:

High Temperature: A very strong 19°C.

Low Temperature: 8°C, very cool, very crisp.

Condition: Partly sunny, then clear. It’s going to be a beautiful situation.

OK. The add-on that does work! Minimal pops, if any. Yes, maybe occasionally, but I compared this driver with the previous one, and we get a slightly faster speed for speech in this one, so pops may also be because we're able to interrupt the engine a little faster by optimizing code. eurpod.com/synths/nvSpeechPlay…
Remember new settings defined in default.yaml inside the packs\lang: legacyPitchMode, legacyPitchInflectionScale. All there. Toggle it off if you hate it.
Another setting for languages: lengthenedVowelFinalCodaScale, It applies to any vowel that has a length mark ː, only when the vowel is followed by one or more consonants in the same word, and there are no later vowels in that word (so it’s the "final syllable” vowel".

@jmd2000 yeah, was wondering how divided people would be on LegacyPitch, that's what the formula it used before moving towards ESpeak. If I get like, a majority of people saying the synth is horrible with it I'll ship it with it off. I think it for sure gives it more of an Eloquence feel, Espeak tends to do word inflection downwards more heavily and that's what they borrowed as well in later drivers.
