Happily married and childfree

I'm very much pro (vaccine, science, choice, mask, etc.)

I'm a big fan of birds and native plants.

If you think traffic is bad... a mandatory full time return to the office is probably being prepared for next year.

Even people who were working hybrid (or full time telework) *before* 2020 would have to do it except for a few exceptions.

@hub I keep telling myself that one day, when companies need to recruit again, they're going to offer WFM to edge out their competitors and the pendulum will swing the other way again.

But that feels naive.

Nothing is ever going to get better.

I also remember, a few years ago, when "remote by design" was the new policy 👀

canada.ca/en/government/public…

Is the plan to eventually bring all employees back 5 days a week?

Hybrid work is the future of the public service. A common hybrid work model will ensure coherence and equity across the federal government, providing public servants with regular opportunities to work with colleagues and partners in service to Canadians, while still having flexibility to work off site.

there is no flexibility if you have to play musical chair in an office to have less productivity.
