Clearing out my ancient phone, I also came across Round Bird once again. Here it is, being very round. I used to draw birds all the time! Ink on mixed media sketchbook.

A rather orb-like bird sketched in black, grey and white onto a vibrantly earth tones background, like autumn leaves in red, purplish red, orange, yellow and brown. There are, however, willow catkins on the branches the bird is sat upon. Everything is drawn out in fairly precise black outline, with variations in the line weight, and then coloured in with dreamlike, hazy, flowing together wet ink that bleeds from one colour to the next. Crisp highlights have been added in white ink. The painting is quite cute and pleasantly simple. On the left bottom corner there is the number 298, denoting it's almost the 300th in a series, the date 17th of April 2019, and the signature Sini Tuulia in cursive, all in white ink on a calligraphy nib. The page is still on the spiral bound sketchbook, which is on the same desk as Sini always has her in her photos.
