In this Substack post, I interviewed my agent about how he chose which editors to send my novel manuscript to (and his sub lists are #diverse in a way the #publishing industry often isn't, and the novel eventually drew three publishers to an auction). @blindscribe That is a great strategy! A writer friend who also published with an indie press (Chaney Kwak, THE PASSENGER) did something similar in order to secure the best support for his book that he could. It turned out beautifully.

I'm working with an indie publicist and also feel like the publisher's in-house team is excellent. I'll definitely be posting more about this in the coming weeks/months!
