#AppCinderella: I've just checked "Photo EXIF Toolkit" (2017; https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/com.angelgladin.photoexiftoolkit). On Android 10 it simply crashes (reproducibly) when trying to open an image (while in background trying to access maps.googleapis.com). Can someone confirm this on other Android versions? Functionality (as advertised) sounds pretty useful, but if it doesn't work the description does not help 🙈

on android 12 selecting an image works, as well as editing the date. Trying to select a location, an empty google map gets loaded, trying to pick a location crashes the app.

@shroob @thot Thanks for your reports! So would you vouch for letting it stay in my repo (despite the age and the anti-features)? Is it still useful – or is it "superseded" by a "better alternative", for example?

@shroob I quickly installed it to reproduce the error mentioned... Under F-Droid you can find several apps that promise the same. Since I don't use any of these apps, I don't want to make a recommendation.

I also don't use any alternatives, but since there are quite a lot (maintained and free ones), I'd suppose the app isn't worth keeping in.

@shroob I did a quick check and did not see any similar apps in the repos of F-Droid or mine – but I know several apps including the features (e.g. Aves, which I use myself). Maybe I'll send the APK through a security scan as well to see if there are some issues or not before I draw a final conclusion (unless some more reports come in saying "drop it, here are the alternatives". I like small tools concentrating on specific tasks 😉 But source gone and trackers in is no good combination indeed.

yes, fail on my side, there are lots of exif apps, but none excatly like this one.
