This is how "informed consent" is supposed to work – especially when it comes to self-updaters included with apps you get from the #IzzySoftRepo – or from @fdroidorg at that (both have a similar policy when it comes to self-updaters).

Tapping anywhere outside the popup will close it, so no "forced actions". And clear details on where the updated APK does come from.

This is how it will look with the next release:

screenshot from an app announcing an update is available, citing 3 options: downloading it manually from Github, trigger a download from directly inside the app to be applied via Android's download notification, or leave it to your favorite F-Droid client to take care of it.

Newpipes messages about an update outside of FDroid some weeks ago (not in this form) got mighty on my nerves.

@ManniCalavera Which is why I reach out to the devs when my scanner reports them. But it of course only reports for apps in my repo.
