I believe that was every year and the studies findings have been refuted. It is likely we are consuming a lot of plastic (and breathing) but that credit card analogy is incorrect.

No worries at all. There are a few things like that floating around. like more plastic than fish in the sea. We don't actually know how much fish there is so the quotes wrong 🙂
