If you’re using Helix Editor and you want to keep movement bindings in insert mode as a default, have your say here:

#HelixEditor #dev

in reply to Aral Balkan

as someone who doesn't use helix but might have been interested in another spin on a modal editor...

i am no longer interested in helix. in my mind, it's now flagged "run by asshats". not just because of this "do as we say, not as we do" change (although that would have sufficed), but frankly dead10ck's condescending response to you is what flipped the switch for me

in reply to leah & tigers & bears, oh my!

@thamesynne I wouldn’t judge the whole project by one person’s response. It’s also likely they’re just being defensive as it’s their contribution I’m criticising. In any case, I do hope it doesn’t go the way of creating rites of passage and becoming an exclusive tool for the über geek. We’ll see… I think this is a good test.

And, hey, worst case scenario, there might be a place for a web dev editor for everyday devs (insert mode by default?) that’s progressively enhanced with the other modes… 🤔
