I've been watching a bunch of #fedi rhetoric go back and forth and it's sort of amusing to see the ... duality of it.

"Everyone should switch to decentralized services so we're not dependent on big companies with big money" --> "Oh no, too many people, go to other instances or donate please!"
"Do keep in mind moderators are people too and often work for free, we don't have the resources of big tech"--> "HOW DARE MOD FROM INSTANCE X NOT DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR SPAM COMING IN RAAAAAGE"
"We should switch to non-big-tech alternatives, everyone in the fediverse is great!" --> "Oh no except not this service, this service is run by a gaslighter who kicks puppies, don't use this one. But also it doesn't matter what instance you use, welcome in!"
