@talon Fuck! Me! You didn't go small for that machine did ya? What a beast score. 6K higher than my M1 Max and I think the highest single-core score I've seen personally. Very nice.

It's so damn fast! I was originally going to buy an M2 max MacBook Pro, but then I saw the price for my preferred configuration and thought ok no, my m1 is still working just fine. But my desktop died at that exact moment. I knew what I had to do.

@talon Yeah. I love my M1 Max honestly. I didn't see the M2 as compelling enough and well... My wife would surely have a thing or twelve to say about such a purchase.

I can imagine. I still want one. Quite badly. But I just cannot find it in me to justify the price either. No matter how much I might want it. It would be the most amount of money I ever spent on a computer and I don't think I am ready.

@talon I'm also in the market for a mac upgrade soon, perhaps a Mac studio is in my future. Was thinking about an m1max laptop, but realized it would probably be a stay at home machine.
