This spec is now being revised. The latest draft is called -13 and lives here: datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/…

well it took 15 years but atleast some one is trying to fix the mess that is cookies

whats the point of a spec if no one going to follow it. Seems to me that all these companies do whatever works for them and just refuse to work on the specs so that it worked for everyone

I like the phrase "historical infelicities" used in the draft's abstract to describe cookies' long, checkered past.
