As the US considers banning TikTok
it is important to keep in mind the problem with the social media giant isn't legal jurisdiction alone. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
The problem with TikTok is #tiktok

The problem with TikTok is not whether it is based in China or the US. The problem with TikTok is TikTok.
TikTok is a social media app that tracks an incredible amount of data. A change of location will not change this.Tutanota

By using TikTok, we hope to educate its users, spread the word about privacy & why it matters.๐งโ๐ซ

They have no problems with facebook being just as evil. :(

in reply to Tuta • • •Same and more collected by FB, Twitter, etc. And already proven to be used against us. Why does that not get regulated or protect us. As others correctly said, itโs not tik tok, itโs the lack of privacy regulations and protection across the board.
They want that info. Thatโs why they want to own tik tok, without changing anything.

What do people mean by tiktok collecting keystrokes.
Does this mean that they send your keystrokes to their server more often than needed??
