The #libcurl backends image got a little less cluttered after we dropped hyper - no more HTTP/1 backends. The January 2025 edition.

curious as to which backends you would recc building with these days ... does c-ares,libidn2, libssh,libssh2,zlib/brotli/zstd,GnuTLS,nghttp3+ngtcp2 sound reasonable ?

@jimfuller distros typically don't use c-ares and you need to pick libssh OR libssh2. I have a slight personal preference for libssh2 of those two.

ok so ... c-ares,
libidn2,libssh2,zlib/brotli/zstd, GnuTLS,nghttp3+ngtcp2, nghttp2 ... whats the pros/cons for using c-ares ... or any of the other resolvers for that matter ? I have my own opinions but curious of others ...
