So much effort on writing a message that will become obsolete within just a few days.

A part of TOMRA reverse vending machine with signs in 5 languages:

"From next week, deposits will no longer be paid in cash but will only be refunded to your bank account."

I'm not sure if I understand your question but my point about the message being obsolete soon is that it says: "from next week…"

And now…
Surprisingly there are still some parts of this reverse vending machine visible.

Also Dutch people should finally realise that the word "pin" means something completely different in English. 📌

A TOMRA reverse vending machine covered with several signs in many languages.
The bottom most sign reads: "Please note you will no longer receive cash for your empty bottles or cans. Only refund via pin to your bank account"

So the original English text wasn’t good enough and it needed a second notice?

@partim I think that was indeed the case. Cognitive overload by putting up too many language versions.

So people from abroad who might only have a credit card or homeless people, who might not have a bank account at all, will not get back any money?

@benedikt correct. Same story for NS operated reverse vending machines at train stations which only support refunding money via an app called Tikkie. That app supports only IBANs starting with NL, despite the SEPA agreement which says that all eurozone IBANs are equal.
