separate app ? yes why not, but don't require it. (keep it in the main app too) I only need to check my tuta calendar from time to time, I don't have the use for a full app!
Tuta Mail is the secure email service, built in Germany. Use encrypted emails on all devices with our open source email client, mobile apps & desktop clients.
I would love to have a separate contacts app. I am currently happy with my calendar from another provider, but if I were to switch, I would like a separate mail, calendar, and contacts app.
I personaly like it being in the same app, less apps on the phone, but i also get why many want a seperat app, and dont foget to make a cople home screan widjets.
side question, is there any way to keep the incoming emails in the main inbox and only after reading it should auto filter in a folder?
If you could provide calendar widgets similar to Fossify Calendar, then there would be no need for a separated app. Also please allow synchronization with Nextcloud+Davx5.
a single app as it is now it's ok. I don't have specific needs, but for example, could be nice to manage a newsletter or a mailing list for some contacts and so, for example prepare an email and send it on a specific day to the newsletter/mailing list subscribed contacts specifying the date.
At least on Android, I know it’s possible to have one application have multiple entries in the App Launcher, and go to a specific part of the application depending on which one is used to access the application. So with that, you can have "multiple" applications while still having just one application. Could even be made as an option.
No need an additional app for calendar. I like one app with everything inside. However it’ll be nice to open the calendar’s tab from a calendar’s notification.
I'm not trusting Tuta calendar in terms of reliability on stock OS Android (Pixel with Google).
With battery settings on "optimized" I receive Mail notification hours late. With battery settings on unrestricted Tuta is one of my main battery consumers but with reliable notifications.
No battery saver mode, no data savings whatsoever.
Zwiegespalten.
Personally, I would very much welcome a separate calendar app. But perhaps rather a separate PIM app that contains calendar, contacts and maybe (and hopefully 😉) also tasks.
I like one app, but maybe the ability to choose which section you access by default? When I open the app it could be email, calendar or contacts etc.? Helps people choose easy access to what they use the most maybe.
to me having email, calendar and contacts in the same app makes the most sense. When it eventually comes, I’d like to see file storage as a separate app.
I don't neccessarily need a separate app per say but some kind of a shortcut would be useful. I believe there is an option for apps on Android to install separate icons for separate functions/parts of the app, maybe something worth looking into?

Your app is amazing this way, and it is great to have it so light.
(And this is also valid for the Web app : keep it this way)
