Great moments in peaceful protest history

1969: New York's gay community hosts the NYPD at a neighborly kegger at the Stonewall Inn. Homophobia promptly eradicated from the American psyche, forever.
In front of a rainbow background, a man of colour wearing a tight white t-shirt and a white cop raise pints of beer to each other, smiling. They both have terrible mustaches.

1965: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. challenges Alabama governor George Wallace to a friendly game of golf. King birdies on twelve, ending systemic racism.
The 12th hole of a golf course. King, in golfing wear, putts. Wallace, holding the flag for him, grins and gives thumbs-up.

1799: The French people politely ask for liberal democracy in a strongly-worded letter. Louis the 16th gleefully abdicates. Everyone parties.
A cheering crowd outside the Bastille. A happy French revolutionary peasant uses the guillotine to open a bottle of champagne while a grinning king gives a thumbs-up.

Great moments in peaceful protest history: the appropriate way to get what you want!
