Recently, I had to contact the support teams for two software products that I pay for. I have to say that I have the utmost appreciation for #opensource projects now, because the support they provide to their users is, on average, far better than that provided by commercial end-user products.
Nowadays, if you want to report a bug in a commercial product, you usually have to deal with AI chatbots. Several exchanges are required to reach the first-line support team, and the person you speak to is often unhelpful. Ultimately, the effort is usually in vain.
