A late evening photo of some sidewalk vendors cleaning up their spot on a small Hanoi street. Two older women in floral print short sleeve shirts and tops kneel behind a tree and wash dishes. All around them are wet sidewalks and wash basins. The table they sold from is still largely intact, though much has been put away for the night in preparation of a complete takedown. Only some pre-packaged goods for a quick takeaway remain displayed for any late arriving customers. Their sign advertises a few dishes common in the nearby coastal province of Nam Định: jellyfish salad, a couple of pork dishes (one meatball-like, another fermented), as well as more familiar spring rolls.
