Well, it's Friday and Kyle's parents are flying from Vancouver today. They're spending a couple of days with us in Ottawa, and then we'll go to Montréal with them before they head to Québec City for their... cruise...

Now to stress about everything that could go wrong. And the fact that they don't mask.

in reply to Stéphanie Pageau

imagine seeing them when they come back from the cruise.

The 'c' in cruise mean COVID

in reply to Stéphanie Pageau

Practically speaking, most risky period for you will be just at the end, when they may begin to be infectious if they have picked something up on the airplane, although if if truly is just a couple (2) of days, even that’s not much of an issue esp if you keep your home well-ventilated. The trickiest thing to navigate are car rides: cars are terribly small and badly ventilated spaces unless you drive with the windows open, which is… unpleasant.
in reply to David Mitchell

@DavidM_yeg Yes we're driving with them to Montréal on Sunday.... I'm hoping nothing contagious yet.. after that it will be easier, we'll be in different accommodations and we'll mask 🤞
in reply to Stéphanie Pageau

@DavidM_yeg You can both mask for the drive. I need to remind myself to mask for my Korean class tonight in a crowded classroom. Covering one’s face for language learning is less than ideal but so is #COVID.
in reply to Dave Mac Farlane

@driusan @DavidM_yeg @EllenInEdmonton nah Québec actually did better than BC with COVID (believe it or not lol) Bonnie Henry is the devil, she said kids were not at risk while studying the effect COVID had on kids at school!!
in reply to Stéphanie Pageau

@driusan @DavidM_yeg @EllenInEdmonton 2020: kids don't get covid. 2021: why do kids spread covid? We need better ventilation in schools. 2024: .... (not a single dollar put towards fixing schools HVAC. but billions put to anti-anglos)

*has a flashback to being in an AC lounge at 10AM and noticing an old well dressed obviously wealthy woman drinking down champagne*
in reply to Stéphanie Pageau

@jcolp I'm torn between getting drunk to buff off the passenger contempt from airlines (and Air Canada in particular) and being too drunk and becoming a real nuisance.

Life balance is hard.
