On one hand having kids is hard, on the other hand how else do adults possibly make new friends?! Like it’s so much easier to strike up random conversations when you’re sitting at a park and your kid starts playing with another kid and you have to be like “hi, that one’s mine.”

you just need to go around. My wife and I make new friends almost monthly because we always go to language exchange events, art events, concerts, play tennis, play music in pubs, etc.
I always felt awkward talking to strangers at the beginning, but then I realized that everyone feels the same way, and that they also made the effort to go out because they want to interact with other people.
It takes effort to build friendships, and it doesn’t always work out 😅

basically do exactly the opposite of whatever the fuck these social media corporations want you to do.
Go out and seek human interactions in places of common interest.
The other day I started talking with a Chinese couple learning Italian in the coffee shop I went to work, and next week we’re gonna have dinner together.
