I've just installed the new #Spectrasonics #Keyscape #Creative 1.6 library, and I found this beautiful patch called 'Ballet Practice'. I think it's a great sound, so I'm talking about it briefly, then playing some chord-changes.

Andre Louis reshared this.

this sounds incredibly inspiring. would have been even better if it had an option to add variation to the arp movement instead of that repeating pattern. maybe a few variations changeable with CC or something, so you can morph through them while playing chords. anyway, beautiful thing.

@vladcrisu But it's called 'Ballet Practice' for a reason, so if you're actually dancing to it, or using it in a film, change would be very disconcerting and not the point of the particular sound. I'm sure other sounds *would* do that. It just doesn't make any sense for this particular sound to do so.

yeah, it's like a waltz rhyhm so it makes sense. I just thought it would be even better if it had that variation option.

@vladcrisu So then layer another arp-like sound under it and use mod-wheel to bring it in as you wish, using some kind of midi modifier. I can do that very easily in Logic. Would be fun to set that up perhaps with something like Ostinato Woodwinds or Brass or Strings from Sonokinetic.
