Thanks, I was not aware of this elaborate article about the origins of Smalltalk. Quite fascinating to read how Simula was a direct inspiration, much like how Bjarne Stroustrup refers to Simula as an important inspiration for C++. Two very different philosophies and work environments being sparked by the same original work.
