elaborate please. when i worked at the UI the networking team was extremely into how great we did at running a dual-stack open campus network and i haven't heard many critiques of Happy Eyeballs.

@emory which Happy Eyeballs? v1, v2, v3 ? (uhoh!) The reason we have v3 now is... critiques!

If we ever do achieve an IPv6-only world (big doubt), now we have to expend effort to rip all of that out from every library that expended the effort to add it. Every new implementation gets more complex.

@UnderEu NAT works, whether or not you like it. Go watch APNIC's Geoff Huston's talk about IPv6 from 2019 where he covers how we'll always have NAT.
