#AudioMo: I was going to #Hamleys with my wife and children on Jan 13 2019 when the road was literally inundated with motorbikes. We'd just left the underground station and were walking toward the shop. The noise here is amazing, and I'm glad I was able to capture it.

Some of those engines don't sound too good, spluttering and spitting. I didn't think that was normal even for those.

@x0 Some people mod their vehicles to do that on purpose honestly. I think it's very intentional.

@MariahL @x0 I've always thought that non-beep horns say 'Fad' ever since I was a kid. #Onomatopoeia is fun.

@MariahL I hear something closer to haw or faw. And the little disk ones go meep. Like the roadrunner.

@x0 @MariahL So, generally, I hear faf, meep and the really boring generic single tones that don't really exist in anything modern just kinda go, uh.

@x0 @MariahL My dad has this on his 1965 Ford F100 attached to a pullchain on the steering column. When I recorded this, it was almost out of air.
in reply to Andre Louis

@x0 @MariahL Yeah. It has a little less fif when it has more air. Or, at least it did. No idea about it's state these days, though it's still around, I think. That was recorded in 2005. He put air in it the next day, but my recording of that is kind of broken.
in reply to Andre Louis

@x0 It sounded pretty intentional since the sounds were consistently consistent. And a few of them sounded really cool.
