I want a bot which posts about English Wikipedia articles marked for deletion due to notability. There are so many cases of the notability guidelines being abused, especially to target underrepresented groups, it seems like this would be a useful tool to combat that. Does such a thing exist?

earlier today with the talk of deleted pages of women and queer folks, @federicomena & I were talking about his being deleted from the English Wikipedia. The reasoning was basically “so he made a thing once and then worked for some companies, big deal.”

Yeah, he made a thing: the GNOME Project.

And I personally can’t help but think his nationality is a factor in him being “less notable” than certain European founders of other equally notable open source projects.

@maco @federicomena It's also AfD participants usually do not really get the whole picture of the existing policies and blindly apply WP:GNG, while forgetting that WP:IPSOFACTO exists.

@eloy @maco I didn't mind the deletion as much as looking at the history/discussion around it, and it later turned out that the person who proposed the deletion was later expelled from Wikipedia for being a horrible person. From looking at his activity around those dates (of course it's a "he"), it seemed that he just wanted to exert control over something, I don't know.
