> Extremists have refused to accept Lula’s victory in presidential election last year

> Hundreds of hardcore supporters of Brazil’s former president Jair Bolsonaro have stormed the country’s congress, presidential palace and supreme court in a stunning security breach that was immediately compared to the 6 January invasion of the US Capitol by followers of Donald Trump in 2021.

Important to note that it looks like Jair #Bolsonaro is in Florida:

So this coup attempt might be happening with Bolsonaro out of the country. Which makes me hopeful it will not succeed.

It would be good to verify that though.

Well, yes, it would be very important to be outside the country in case the coup fails. I'd say it's a likely reason he is in Florida, to conspire and keep himself safe while his police loyalists and followers attempt a coup.

interesting perspective. To me that kind of hedging would signal he's not all-in, not fully committed, not actually believing the coup will succeed.

Doesn't mean I'm right of course! Thank you for sharing your take.

He's in very deep with the globalist fascists, it's for sure shielding himself if things go wrong (he was already fleeing potential prosecution so it's all about avoiding consequences). The police escort means this was an organized coup attempt and I'm sure Bolsonaro knows about it and would happily return as dictator for life (as he was trying to make himself before he was forced out of power). Dictators are cowards so of course he's hedging his bets.

Globalist fascists are the international "Conservative" organizations that work together to get right wing governments elected. Former Canadian PM Stephen Harper heads up one (he's an evangelical, as many of them are). It's hardly a conspiracy because it's out in the open. https://thetyee.ca/Analysis/2019/08/06/Harper-Heads-Global-Org-Help-Elect-Right-Wing-Parties/
