Even as an introvert, I'd like to say that going remote has forced extroverts to do exactly that, for the most part of the day.
Telling them to have a video chat with like-minded people is like telling introverts to find a quiet corner for work. For extroverts, it's not the same as an in-person conversation - pretty much the same as a "quiet corner" in the office does not actually offer solitude to introverts.
