Since a speaker at #FediDay25 made the offhand comment that "advertisement is free speech" allow me to offer a quick rebuttal: No, emotionally manipulating people into buying shit they don’t need is not free speech.
Any instance distributing advertisements into the #Fediverse needs to be defederated immediately.
