Do I know anyone who's ever tried to capture an ARM-based #apple #Mac using a capture card? I am running into the dreaded #HDCP issues that seem to be common with these and google's failing me for a solution.
Does using a #HDMI splitter still work for these cases or is there some kind of fancy tool to just disable HDCP for the duration? I'm not planning on capturing copyrighted material, it's just that this is on by default universally on macs for ... a reason that escapes me but I'm sure is very forward-thinking, magical and revolutionary. #streaming #contentCreation #hacks

@tardis I'm trying to capture a mac from my pc using a capture card. Macs don't love being captured that way because of a thing they do to their HDMI port that protects copyrighted content from being copied, but unlike most other devices, macs have this on all the time as opposed to just when copyrighted content is actually played, so you get no usable signal out of the mac's HDMI port unless you work around that somehow. Yes, I could run OBS on the mac itself but I want to do a setting up mac stream which may need me to restart the mac several times, so that isn't ideal as that would interrupt the stream
