No problem, I agree with what you said. I wanted to share this post because it helped me put things into perspective, as I still had the feeling that Andy/Proton might be MAGA. However, I agree that the controversy was warranted, for all the reasons you mentioned.
Also, Proton should consider leaving X, or at least they should post the same content everywhere, including on Mastodon and Bluesky. They still treat X as their main social media platform.

Leaving Twitter/X now would be a clearer statement on where you stand in regards to MAGA and the fascistic movement getting traction in the USA.
I know you're trying to do damage control, #Proton. Which is highly needed. But more is needed, and with far less confusion.
Start by taking a clear stand against Nazism and fascism. No political neutrality. No need to talk about current US politics nor European. Just take a clear stand against Nazism and fascism avoiding confusing phrases or deep thoughts.

Proton not only is still using X/Twitter as their main social media. But now they are leaving Mastodon / the Fediverse, and are telling us to follow their news on Reddit instead!
They also removed all mentions of Mastodon on their community page: proton.me/community
And they removed the Mastodon logo on their footer on proton.me… reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/s/FX2u…
