Friend of mine just shared this chef's kiss on the matter of #enshittification and my first thought was, has @pluralistic seen this??

Checked for myself and holy cow this is awful.

A screenshot of the Merriam-Webster dictionary website showing in Chrome on a phone. It is opened to the definition for "enshittification". The page is absolutely covered in ads. There are 4 different ads showing just in this phone screenshot. There are 2 large ads separating content. There's a bottom banner ad. And there's a floating video ad playing. All of the ads are also animating, even the non-video ads. It's extremely distracting.
