There are MCP servers popping up that interface GitHub and the likes, so even if we make them do Copilot issues proper, we will soon see random "AI agents" interact directly with issues and PRs. Non-copilot AI style. There is no escape. This is the new reality.

This is the new reality but it doesn't have to be.
Time for git.curl.se maybe?

If they don't do it, it's because it's not great.

If they become too frequent, most projects will just botclose them, Iโd expect.
Which is why Microsoft might not want to do it.
Never a dull moment.

We've had networked services open to the world at large for decades. There has always been an assumed "human moderation factor"; we cannot assume it anymore.

Have also joined as a paying member.

in reply to daniel:// stenberg:// • • •Microsoft bought github to destroy it; the most anti- opensource company there is, buying the largest repository of open-source software? this was only going to end one way
edit: this is also why I think all the original owners are complicit in its destruction for a payday; and should be ashamed of themselves for throwing away such an important project to have a larger number in their already substantial bank accounts
