Every time I read "MCP", the evil Master Control Program from the movie Tron comes into my mind. tron.fandom.com/wiki/Master_Coโ€ฆ

Microsoft bought github to destroy it; the most anti- opensource company there is, buying the largest repository of open-source software? this was only going to end one way

edit: this is also why I think all the original owners are complicit in its destruction for a payday; and should be ashamed of themselves for throwing away such an important project to have a larger number in their already substantial bank accounts

They are getting on my last nerve and I'm not even a coder or developer. I'm sick of Copilot and I'm tired of having my work corrected when I didn't ask it to. I'm sick of having something pop up everywhere I am asking me if I want it to help me write something. And more importantly ... I'm sick of not having a way to TURN IT OFF. This reality SUCKS and it's not even totally HERE yet.

I don't know how feasible it is, maybe it's not, but I think an approach could be to delay manual intervention from a human reviewer as much as possible. For example, having automatic testing and coverage metrics blocking PRs (human or automated) until some quality threshold is reached. That way, even if the PR is automatically generated, if it is good, it is acceptable.
