TeamSpeak 5 Servers will give you the option to host your very own Homebase. Homebase is the Server where your chat-account is created in. Nonetheless, you can still chat with other users that are located on other homebases via federation.

Sad thing is nobody wants to use teamspeak. If you say something about using teamspeak around normies you get answer like "teamspeak in 2k22 lol, install discord". I used to have small teamspeak server to use with my friends. Sadly everyone moved to Discord so I had too ;/

I'm more hopeful/interested in persistent voice rooms natively within Element/Synapse. TS state in that thread that external matrix accounts aren't supported.
