I wasn't aware of an issue removing add-ons, and I can't see an issue about it on GitHub - are you able to write up an issue please?

@NVAccess I really can't as I don't know what happened. I was working on someones computer, helping them get things set up. it is a new computer for them. she made a portable copy of her NVDA from her old laptop, and she went to install it onto the new laptop, and this arror was popping up. we had to go delete the folders for the addons in appdata\roaming\nvda\addons, and that fixed things when she restarted her NVDA.

I suppose you can't get to the %temp% folder to find the nvda.log or nvda-old.log file to see if it still has any info which might help?

@NVAccess nope. I didn't even think to do that while I was connected to there computer. threw the remote thing. smile.

@NVAccess I didn't even think to have you dig through that, I just came up with a solution to make them piss off. lol.

@munchkinbear You found a solution, that's the main thing - any chance you remember which add-ons it was? Maybe we can rule in or out whether it's something with a specific add-on?

@NVAccess @munchkinbear it was goldwave and resourse monitor. I am probibly spelling it wrong, but I am sure you can figurte it out from what I wrote. it looks like they were out of date anyway, and needed newer versions, which we will tackle more tomorrow, as tonight I got a crash course on using the remote control thing in NVDA.
