Re last: One of the people I miss the most from Twitter is Jenny Lay-Flurrie. I loved reading her tweets. Not only because I'm a huge #Microsoft fan, but because she is a great and interesting person to read.
Then why don't you go back to twitter? It is more accessible now than ever. Grok will auto describe videos and pictures people post, and if the image is not described or you want more info about a video you can press the grok button next to the post. Also, if that wasn't enough, you can press the following tab to only see posts from people you are following.
@michaeljohann_ the UX of the app itself is not screen reader-friendly. the main thing is that when Musk bought Twitter, he prohibited developers from creating third-party apps, which many and many blind people used. with lighter GUIs, lots of keyboard shortcuts and stuff.
@michaeljohann_ Yeah, I know all of that, I want an API that would allow me to build an easy-to-use desktop client I can customize as I wish. That's why I'm not on Twitter and almost not on Facebook, I can't stand those interfaces.
