This has been broken for ages, it will respect it after toggled until the the phone or #talkback restarts, but then forgets it until toggled again.

@dhamlinmusic Here it doesn't remember the selected setting even when it's toggled on and off. And, of course, our bug tracker is aimed at gathering screen reader bugs like this.

Ah it already forgot it after the phone locked so yeah it's a bit werse than before, but this is a very old bug, like android 10 or 11 era talkback. Also affects #voiceview on amazon Fire devices I believe.
