AppleVis sympathy

I'm not an Apple fan. I just have an iPhone because it is more accessible for some of my needs, namely taking calls in all apps. It's actually the only big reason I'm not coming back to Android right now.
However, as a person that was in the same situation, I totally empathize with the AppleVis team. My wife and I used to run a russian-language project that had several thousand users during the years. Everything was great on start, but then people wanted more, and each new feature was accepted either with silence, or with "why not that? Why not this? Why too little? I want more, more, more!". And then 2014 came, and many people including part of the core team just didn't want to work with us because we supported Ukraine.
And… we just burned out. We burned out to such point that even now, after almost ten years, it's very hard for my wife to do web development. She came back into software development, but as for web… it's really tough.
So, again, please don't blame the #AppleVis team. Volunteering is hard, maintaining a project is hard, and if something does go wrong, — be it your health, attitude of the community or something else, — you just burn out and want to go other direction.
