Bleh, the Windows key stopped working on my mechanical #keyboard, so I remapped Menu to it and made gnome-shell use "Right Super" for bringing up the overview.

Lazyweb, how do I diagnose a key switch?

Depending on the keycap you have, it will probably just delicately pull off... See if there's junk underneath first =D

1) diagnose if it's the switch by using tweezers to short/bridge the two metal legs of the switch, see if that triggers the correct thing. If no response: dead/broken switch.
2) check the diode associated with the switch is ok, using either a multimeter, or using the same tweezers to short/bridge the correct metal switch leg to the *cathode* leg of the diode, see if this triggers a press as expected.

hope it's one of the two things I described... If not it'll require more diagnosis with a multimeter probably.
