Hey #mastobikes friends, my rear tyre's sidewall has developed a hernia. Is this salvageable? (Compass 52mm smooth tyres)

Oof. Nope. That'll need replacing. I mean, you could use a really large patch, but you're probably going to lose your innertube if you don't replace the outer.

yeah, i wouldn’t. a repair could get you home (if this happened on the road) but i wouldn’t trust it beyond that. a headache waiting to happen.
