Welp. I’m most probably the last person in the world to use an @netscape.net email address—literally. I’ve had it for over 25 years. I use it for mailing lists and shops and so on.

Meaning: it’s been well-tracked for a long time. And it’s now owned by AOL. Yay (not).

But all other free providers also entailed tracking and such so why bother changing?

That is, until I discovered @Tutanota yesterday. Less than 24 hours and I’m already in the process of moving all my accounts over. Yo.

Yeah switching to a #linux based system is a huge improvement if talking about #privacy. Today most of the software is easily accessible on Linux and works great. Even if there's no dedicated #linux version there are still something like Wine or awesome free and open source alternatives. I can recommend #debian and #popos.

For messaging apps I love #signalmessenger and I can also recommend Session.

For browser as well as a search engine I'd pick Brave.
