Just registered for this #Yiddish #Braille zoom discussion on Nov 13. at an earlier stage I consulted a bit with Matthew and his Yiddish teacher though I'm not sure how much I really contributed😅

@menelion
should register to hear about it!
it's definitely not fully developed (not a full system of rules and contractions etc), but it was to help him learn and read Yiddish, and he seemed happy with its functionality last I heard.

it's partly based on the Hebrew braille system, iirc, which makes sense because they share an alphabet, even if some changes needed to be made as well due to the languages being very different.

Can I register if I'm in France? I'm totally blind and can provide a (French) blindness certificate (card) if needed. I see I need a phone, a patron ID... can you help please? Or can I just register as is? Thanks! also, just I don't know if it matters: I'm not Jewish myself, but I go by "your friendly goy" since I'm highly interested in Jewish culture, I work with Jewish people and I have lots of friends 😊.
