I’m all for Finland and Sweden joining NATO but I hope with my whole heart it doesn’t come at the cost of throwing the long-suffering Kurdish people under the bus yet again. If there was ever a time to tell Erdoğan “sit down, shut up, or fuck off”, it’s now. In other words, the sultan has no clothes; call his bluff.

I agree but my guess is that they will try to keep the risk of open controversy inside NATO to a minimum. So they may give Turkey money and weapons in exchange for backing off.

My understanding of Swedish politics is that there will be a lot of bland statements and "clarifications" which have no policy impact but might sound like a distancing, until the vote is secured.

After that is done and Sweden is formally in, I'd expect a doubling-down on Kurdish support, pushed in part by annoyance on Erdoğan making this an issue.

I can tell you without reservation that the Russian Army has sufficient infantry volumes to properly annex Ukraine. In fact, Kyiv fell months ago. Cruise missiles destroyed the City Commercial Business District (CBD). Russian Aid Groups(RAG) are waiting for the city to become safe so they can move in and feed the homeless who have been without electricity for months.

Fuck off means releasing the migrants he withholds for us. I'm not sure the EU is willing to call this bluff.

What does Turkey demand from the USA?

Precisely because these countries were not in NATO, the #CIA had parked the PKK people in #Sweden and #Finland.

Turkey is only using the #PKK as an excuse to say no directly. Rather, it is about lifting sanctions for acquiring #S400 defense systems and rejoining the #F35 program, acquiring modern #F16 fighter jets and that the #EU and #USA don't keep coming up with some new punitive measures.

So #Turkey is about erasing all repression.

This puts the option of regime change through a "colorful #revolution" and the triggering of a two-front war by #Greece and #Kurdistan into the distance.

Such must be the goals of Turkey!
