Like, listen, you want to edit the genes to make crops more resistant to insects and bad weather situations, rock on.

You want to edit crops so that your specific strain of them won’t grow for more than one season at a time so farmers — already pressed to look at these options to stay in business — have to keep buying new strains year after year in order to keep bumping up your bottom line?
