What happened in 2004?

@Cheatha like 2024, it was just a year with more development. Back in 2004 we also had no CI so there were more oops commits.

@Cheatha any reflections on not having a CI compared to having one? Benefits? Drawbacks?

@hesa @Cheatha CI and testing all changes *before merge* is a minor revolution in development I'd say and has done wonders for stability in the master branch.

@hesa @Cheatha yes, and also limited as barely any developer test their changes in more than one or a few config setups, which then easily would break in another setup the developer (or reviewers) did not think about

@Cheatha I used qemu a lot for that then. And xvfb, which does not apply to curl ;)
