🚨 Europe needs digital sovereignty - and Microsoft has just proven why.

🛑 Do we really want to build our digital infrastructure on platforms that can be switched off at the stroke of a pen in Washington?
❌ Do not let the Trojan horse through the gate!
✅ The solutions exist, built here in Europe.
🇪🇺 It’s time for authorities and public institutions to walk the talk on strategic autonomy. Adopt sovereign European services – now.

Call to action: Businesses already offer great European alternatives for digital sovereignty, authorities must start adopting them now!Tuta

NO government , anywhere, should control our information and data and communications.

So much for privacy. At least they didn't take Microsoft who were copying documents from the dutch government for 'diagnostics'. And google has way better security.
You guys in #tuta are fighting a fight worth having, but (in my opinion) you need to do things differently if you want to make a dent on US hegemony in this space.

Please, start working on the following 3 things:
1. UI / UX, your mobile app is super ugly.
2. Ironically, you say services should be interoperable, yet you do not support standard protocols, so we are stuck between web and electron. This is a big no for SMEs. Or build a decent outlook clone.
3. Drive. Legend package needs a drive. When is it going to be released?
Why no packages for 100 and 200gb?

in reply to amackif • • •...that is to make a dent.
There is a rule when it comes to consumers: convenience trumps everything.
Plus people like pretty things.
All 3 points mentioned earlier play into those two statements.

Apple did just get caught sharing push notifications with certain 3rd party entities, and don't seem to have a plan to keep notifications encrypted.
But they do have the best implementation of Liquid Glass (TM).
Eggs now in different baskets.

I tried loading the website using my mobile data and it works fine, so I guess I have some weird issue from my router/ISP?

in reply to Tuta • • •I tried on my PC and it didn't work, same with my phone but with my phone using mobile data it works so I can only think it's something ISP related maybe? I did try the ping command prompt and got a timed out so yeah very strange.
Just to check I tried with Firefox (main browser), chrome and edge and all of them didn't load the webpage.
