Probably the best part of winter dawns is that they're late enough more of us get to see them.

A thin coat of snow doesn't quite cover last year's grasses. Red oak trees fan their snow-lined branches to the sky. In front a larch reaches up with a gentle sway, as if to see the peach and gold sunrise behind them.
