Meaning: "sure". 😀

The pkgrel variable in a PKGBUILD is used to distinguish rebuilds due to changes in environment or the build script itself. It should not be used to distinguish differing versions of upstream source code. The pkgver variable is used for distinguishing upstream versions. A pkgver() function is used to create a specific version for each release.
Also, that pkg conflicts with core/curl!

I was commenting to clarify, that there are issues with the build script and people seeing this here would run into problems trying to build/install the package.
Curl being so centric for the distribution and people installing it from other sources (and potentially breaking their systems) eventually ends up being a support case 🙃
The more people are aware of any issues, the better (in my book).
