I've actually had slashdot in my feed reader (whichever one I'm currently using) all along. While it's only tech-related news, I've always appreciated that they have human curated synopses.

Never visit to read the comments though...

I remember Slashdot. I remember Freshmeat and ThinkGeek and VA Linux. I worked for ThinkGeek for a little more than a year before GameStop murdered it. I miss these places, they were great in their day.
