Sorry to bother you Daniel. What's the recommended way to get the absolutely latest version on Debian? My current version on Debian is 7.88.1. Obviously I could get the code and compile it but would like to use apt if possible (e.g. get the coming 8.10.0 release when it's out). Cheers!

@rtn I don't know. I run Debian unstable everywhere myself and there the curl package is pretty much always up-to-date.

I'm on stable which explains why. I just learned about "apt pinning" so this should fix it!
