Seems like a great idea ... but I wonder how many companies will decide to dedicate a development team to maintain the patches ... or more likely, add it as a work item for an already overloaded team
Here's to me rebuilding curl in Debian without LDAP support because that uses Elder Ciphers Not Meant For Current OpenSSL Releases and subsequently breaking.... the ruby libvirt bindings.
